The Monkey Mind!
When I began meditating, I was always diverted at the drop of a hat! And all the Gurus and the books say that meditate for hours and you would get answers for what you seek!
Finally, I found that one has to develop the art of meditating oneself by a trail and the method you follow gets you the answers!
Who is the culprit that diverts you so easily during your practice, is it the Mind or the Chitta?
As Yogiraj Satgurunath whose birthday we celebrated on May 10, this years, tells us that it’s the monkey mind that is responsible for the diversions.
So basically, the solution lies in what we think is the problem!
As Prakash Shesh says that we have to recognize the infinite power of our own mind by sharpening our own curiosity by asking questions and seeking answers.
For this I had to begin disciplining myself, which was a real task.
I started being in the present (as again all gurus and wise ones quoted), while walking, talking, bathing and eating! Well then after I began sitting in different directions and began sincerely practicing my Kundalini Kriya Yoga, I saw a ray of hope and felt I could let thoughts go slowly with diaphragm breathing, the stillness surfaced from deep down there, wow happy to get some progress! Guess the silent and still mind would be the Atma positively.
I have seen that some of my clients have benefited the following way by the guided meditations that I have conducted:
Lasting emotional control
Reduce pain and
Sharpen concentration
At its heart, meditation is all about learning,
Meditate to create
Improve multitasking at work
Reduce anxiety
Fight depression
And many more…
