A Trek To Remember

This is in continuation of my previous blog, ‘MY AMAZING NINE DAY TREK INTO PARADISE, MAY BE IT WAS SPIRITUAL GUIDANCE FROMTHE UNIVERSE’.
If you have not read it you may click here!

As we continued our trip after bathing in the river Ganga in Gangotri, I meditated on a solid rock for an hour or so and feeling extremely euphoric, meditation is very important, it really helps you to connect within and I teach all my students who come for spiritual consultancy, guidance and healing, the art of meditation, but here the meditation was happening inevitably. After our meditation, we broke journey and ate and tried to sleep off our aching but extremely refreshed limbs in a nearby Dharamshala.

LIKE SPIRITUAL GUIDES TREKKING GUIDES HELPED US

By now we had lost track of time and so the next day from the Gangotri we trekked up the arduous path up to Bhojwasa, 15 of us including the very helpful guides who kept pulling us whenever we had to cross hurdles, I now know why my son Sandy looked so very weary after his treks!

14 km is the climb in the mountains trust me! But the snow-capped mountains filled our Adventure Team with delight and was a balm to our aching limbs, wish I had wings like those mountain birds who were our Spiritual Guides!

Groaning, moaning, sweating aching and feeling like zombies we reached our snow covered silver birched hamlet of ‘Bhojwasa’ where we camped the night and surely time, tide, days, hours did not matter as we all had an Energy healing at this stage and surely, we were in Fairyland by now!

THE DIVINE SOMETIMES REALLY TEST OUR PATIENCE…

Next day was the Ultimate climb. We split up in two groups with Vinod ji, Vimal, Praveen, Uma and BP along with Bhole, one of our guides decided to trek to ‘Gomukh’ mouth from where the river Ganga emerges and 5 of us HP, Dr Uma Viji, a self-thought of scaling Tapovan at a height of 15,000 ft. and then touch the Glacier. Rakesh, our seasoned guide shook his head and bet that we would never be able to climb that afar!

The steep uphill trek was as tough as nails slippery with huge stone boulders, the Divine was really testing our patience.

PARADISE REDISCOVERED

Reaching Tapovan, I knew that one need no meditation techniques as one gets into a meditative state as it was a flat scenic land with snow splattered with sky having a beautiful hue of orange blue. A cold breeze blowing at us made our hearts thudding and eyes shining with amazement, we had surely stepped into ‘Paradise Rediscovered’. Now I understood why there was so much Chakra healing going on.

SIMLA BABA AND SITA MIA

We had two very delightful encounters – one with Simla Baba who puffed away at his 555 cigarettes and blessed us with hot delicious Prasad from a casserole along with some soul-searching mantras being played from his 2-in-1 National player. I did ask him about my Akashic records but was reluctant to do a full Akashic reading but told me I would spiritually and otherwise guide and counsel and give consultations to people in time to come, now it rings true as I write this blog!

The other encounter was with Sita Mia, a black robbed fascinating Keralite living here for the last 7 years, who served us hot chai and boiled rice with delicious potato Nutri nugget curry and crisp Papad. Even today joy of the hot delicious meal remains in my mouth!

CLIMBING DOWN

The climb down to Gomukh was mind boggling — each step I took I’d crash down, but all aches and pains were forgotten as we watched the Ganga in all shades of white and blue flowing through the Glacier which was approximately 24km long and 8 km wide we joined rest of our team there and we spent the night at one of the rest homes

We just couldn’t sleep that night as everyone was aching and all we did was dream of luxurious hot spas!

Next day we trekked back from Bhojwasa to Gangotri and drove back in our van to Harsil where we lunched at the one of the Garwal rifles guest houses! To soothe our aching bodies, we bathed at the Sulphur Springs of Gagnani and stayed overnight at a resort in the Chamba Hamlet, where the magnetic pull of the hillside where the darkness merged with the night sky and the twinkle of lights from far off villages!

Next day we began us descend down to the plains of Delhi passing and bowed to the Holy Gurudwara of Ponta Sahib with promises to come back again but Ke sera sera — what will be will be!

This was our ninth day and back to the fumes and traffic chokes of Delhi — with a deep smile as this nine-day trek to paradise remains etched in our memory forever!

So dear fellow beings adventure along in life — aligning yourself with earth energy!

Love and light
