Himalaya, the Pilgrim’s Path of Kriya Yogis

As the weather has much improved in Delhi these days and I’m an absolute slave to good climatic conditions — I’m enjoying this good season though it’s sultry but one can comfortably read and write without an air conditioner on and since I’m in my knee recovery stage and have been told to relax, I’m doing just that! Divine Interpretation.

Relaxation

Actually, I really think my next blog is getting ready in my head, ‘relaxation in life’, we think we are cool but trust me we are not and it’s not just having hectic vacations but after one such vacation you need to have one recovery vacation to get back to Spiritual upliftment!

A good exercise is from time to time to have a professional muscle masseur to ease out those funny body muscles, a workout or exercise and of course eat well! Guess that’s what everyone says but folks listen to your body and follow your intuition. You will never go wrong!

In Himalaya with Living Guru

So, getting back to the Himalayas while the good day lasts…

On reaching the Kund we were put up in modern tents with all modern facilities as this Gupt Kashi Kund was famous for its camps. We booked it in time thanks to Atul who had done his spadework months earlier. It was a lovely area and had a stream flowing nearby and the food was cooked by the tent organisers, hot soup and lovely steaming hot veggies served with toasted bread was great and methai as desserts .We then all gathered together outside  in the open area as there was a camp fire and a fabulous satsang with Gurunath who related fascinating  tales from the Mahabharata and Ramayana  and kept us awake till the wee hours of the night. It had become cold and some of the devotees were cuddled up with blankets and hot water bottles! Stream flowing, bright stars twinkling down at us with love and the dark mountains saying don’t be afraid guys you are safe with me, some of us even heard animal noises, were they cheetahs?
After practising the Babaji Kundalini Kriya yoga we slept like babies as I always do after a Kriya session as it had a Healing effect surely and we felt Gurunath had kept a vigil on us – oh it’s absolutely enchanting to have a loving living Guru in our midst!

Catharsis to pure bliss

Next morning in the Crystal clear Sunlight we all did the Siddhanath Kriya Yoga and continued on the way to bathe in the Gauri kund as Gurunath had told us that that bathing in that Kund would have  a catharsis to our bodies it would do a sort of Pranic Healing and align our internal organs, Auras and our external Physical bodies.

When we reached the Gauri Kund, we found it was dirty and the authorities informed us that it would take days for the locals to clean it, so our Guru got the boys to scrub it, it had a ladies section and a men’s section!

The hot springs from the mountains full of its healing properties was released and we all jumped in to enjoy the experience, in spite of the cold air of the mountains fanning us, we felt on top of the world as it was pure bliss! We were all living in the present and felt pure love pouring out of our Heart Chakra, I must have done some good karma in life to be part of this experience and really wished that my family was with me! As quoted, ‘see life in everything, life is love and love is life’.

Gauri Temple

After a good hour of bathing, we then proceeded to visit the Gauri Temple—as Yogiraj Gurunath Siddhanath told us that it was in this temple that Goddess Parvati had bathed and had requested her son Ganesh to guard her and stop anyone entering! But Lord Shiva came to visit his Consort Parvati—Ganesh forbade him from entering and Shiva got really angry at being stopped and beheaded him and that’s how Ganesh got his elephant head as his mother was devastated and did not stop crying till, he was healed!

After the darshan, we sat under the trees and with streams flowing through the mountains on our right and left and the refreshing breeze blowing, and did 45 minutes of Kriya Yoga practice. Imagine the transmission we got from our Guru. Chakra Dhyan, Chakra Cleansing was all happening simultaneously, goodness think of our Auras pulsating with Myriad colours!

Bon appétit

After that we had to cross a small bridge and headed towards our buses to go and eat at a dhaba called BABAJI ka Dhabba as we had whipped up an appetite like when you finish 2 hours of marathon running! As we bussed our way, we passed local boys and girls full of mischief, their cheeks red like apples full of joy on the way to their schools running and waving at us with their backpacks, we could not stop taking pictures of them, oh to flow in life, free of every worry, stress etc. that’s the quality of life in this elevated magical land of Uttrakhand.

No wonder Rishis and Yogis preferred this life!

We all are searching for life which has no boundaries and bondage (purely my Thought) Thus one cannot give up on life, we are on a pilgrim’s path, search, meditate and the heavens will respond, which is what I’m doing!!

So, search till next blog to continue our Himalayan trip to Okhimat…
